Our Mission  is to saves dogs that are in danger of being put to death in public shelters. Furever Home Rescue is a 501(c)(3) not for profit organization whose rescues are mostly pulled from   shelters in   the surrounding communities of southwest Florida. These animals often have little to no hope of a better life. We give  them a positive environment, healthy food, medical attention, socialization and lots of love and understanding in order to find them new forever homes in our local communities and  throughout the State. With our intervention, many animals who would otherwise not have a chance at these shelters are now living happy lives with loving families. Although we do specialize in dogs in the working and herding groups, we do not discriminate as to breed, size or age. We are advocates for all dogs who cannot be advocates for themselves. Our dogs are in foster homes or boarded until permanent homes can be found for them.

Claude and Carey  have six children who are now grown up building lives of their own. They have always had dogs: Rottweiler’s, Beagles, Shepard’s, Border Collie’s and our current dog an Australian Cattle Dog /Labrador named Sadie. When their last child moved out a few years back they started fostering, training and boarding dogs. They just loved it and were good at rehabilitating dogs!  So, in 2019 Claude and Carey decided they wanted to do more and “Furever Home Rescue” was born.
